I liked that there was a representative asking questions about our rentals as we exited the building to the parking lot. She looked at our paperwork and pointed at the cars that worked for the rental. We were free to choose what we liked. It turned out my options were large SUV and I asked the lady if I could have something smaller and it wasn’t a problem. I loved that! I chose a GMC and enjoyed the car immensely.

I would rent from Fox again but I’d be way more likely to rent from Fox if there was a way to use their car for toll roads on only the days when you’re planning to use it on those roads instead of paying for toll usage for the entire duration of the trip. Having to pay for the entire duration even though I only wanted to use tolls for one day meant that the cost was much higher and the value not really that great.

Dollar Rental changed my vehicle rental from. 15 passenger van to a mini van without notification!!! I even drove 1.5 hrs to confirm I was getting a Ford Transit 15 passenger van a week prior to pick up. When I arrived on the day of rental they said I had rented a minivan! I showed the email proof of the Ford Transit. They said I could have that for $500 more!!! The finally gave me an old 12 passenger Chevy van that was very uncomfortable to travel 3,800 miles in over the holidays. Both managers blamed others for the mistakes made and were put out that I wanted what I paid for and reserved. I'll never do business with them again.

I didn't appreciate the "nickle and diming"; the final price was almost 3 times what was advertised with all the added fees and taxes etc. They should be far more transparent with the final cost to the customer. Staff are upselling to the benefit of the business and not necessarily that of the customer. I was offered a transponder but after closer inspection it would have been cheaper for me to pay for the tolls. This was very disappointing; I recommend better training and customer sensitivity workshops.

I rent from the Ace counter at TPA fairly often, and they have it down to a science. The price is amazing, i am in and out fairly quickly, and the cars are clean and in good condition. I had accidentally made two different reservations for the same dates, and when I realized they had processed the more expensive one, the desk agent helped me switch to the better priced one. And by booking with Ace directly, I earn rewards!

My experience was terrible. I paid for the rental car online and went to go pick it up. I go up to the lady at the front desk thinking she would help me but she proceeds to lead me to a machine to talk to. So now I’m on a video chat with a lady I can barely hear. She proceeds to tell me I can’t pick up the car because of something with my insurance. Which is fine, I understood and didn’t complain. The lady on the video chat told me she cancelled the booking. I asked the lady at the front desk if I could get a refund and she told me to contact the site I booked the car from and I would get it. So I contacted the site later on and they told me they tried to call MEXRENTACAR but they did not answer. Then they told me they wrote an email to them requesting a refund for me and that I should come back in 72 hours for an update. So that’s what I did. When I contact them a few days later, after a very long time of them trying to reach the place again, they tell me that they unfortunately can’t refund me for the rental because the whole thing with the insurance. They said it is part of their terms and conditions and “I should’ve known this when paying for the car”. However they did not make that clear or known whatsoever in the checkout process. You should not be able to allow a customer to complete a payment without CLEARLY stating ALL of the necessary information. I cannot understand why I can’t get a refund for something I never received or used. I feel like I got scammed. Not an enjoyable experience whatsoever.

Mexrental is a scam company and Kayak should not recommend them. The online price is a hoax. When I arrived at their office, after waiting 40 minutes in line, they told me that with my great full coverage insurance, I would have to pay a daily admin fee that was double the amount of the cost of the rental car that I had paid online. Specifically, my rental through Kayak was $107. The “ admin fee” that I had no choice but to pay was $211. I was in literal tears but had to pay the money and go because I didn’t have time to try to find another car. Everyone I spoke to in the office was furious. All the customers were being charged exorbitant extra fees. One lady told me she was charge an extra $125 because she was 70 years old. It’s absolutely ridiculous! I will never rent from them again and will warn others against it.

It was an absolute waste of time and money. I rented the van so my family and I could attend my best friend’s wedding in the keys I was in the wedding party. The van I rented apparently had expired tags in which I got pulled over multiple times for and was late to her event. This is extremely upsetting. When I told the manager at the rental company he stated that he has too many vehicles to keep track of. This is unacceptable. I feel that this is their job to insure that the vehicle are ready and safe for the road for their customers I am very disappointed and will be contacting customer service. The money I wasted not to mention the memories. Awful experience.

Quoted and prepaid non refundable price was a joke- multiple additional required charges. Refusal to accept my insurance (even showing them the declarations/ coverage information) so more costs. Additionally took a $500 security deposit (5 days later still not refunded). Cost ended up more than if I had rented with a larger more well known firm. Was told to bring car back full of gas, however received it empty. Car was dirty, sticky arm rest, and smelling of smoke (but was told I would be charged if there was smoke or even sand in the car upon return - up to $2,500). Got a ticket due to expired plates. Car tags expired in June 2026, my rental was October 2026. Window stopped working on day 2, would not go up/down. Called, emailed about this, after 20 minutes on hold I was told I could try change the car (if one was available and possibly higher cost). I had spend over an hour to get the car and did not want to spend another hour or 2 of my day dealing with this so kept the car though the window did not work. Returning the car took over 45 minutes. Pricing of car was no where near quoted price (more than triple the cost), car was dirty, in bad shape mechanically, nor were tags up to date. Would not rent from this firm again. Original quote/ payment was to one company (Routes), however, billing was from a different firm (Strides).

You video chat in a booth with an agent (seems like a third world country), hard to hear everything. I went from one rate to paying 6 times the amount in less than 24 hrs and probably 20 miles of commuting. Thank goodness I did no add one!! When returning the vehicle, you must wait for the shuttle driver to inspect the vehicle, He has just left to the airport, so had to wait for the 1 driver to return 20 minutes later. There are 2 other guys that work the desk, but they are working for about 6-8 other rental companies. The vehicle was newer, but smelled of cigarettes. Just go with a reputable company, and pay a slightly higher rate for assurance and smoother transaction. Also beware! They will put a charge on your CREDIT card that ranges from 500-1000 (refundable if criterias met) before you can get your vehicle.

When requested insurance, stated policy, which was NOT disclosed in email, was that to use own Auto policy, deposit increased to 2000 for rental. Advertised vehicle was Toyota Corolla or similar... Absolutely terrible company. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have asked for a refund and had to go with a different rental upon landing in Florida. They tried to take a $3000 deposit even though we already had external insurance. They advertise that they're in the airport which they are not, and they didn't even offer a shuttle - they told us to Uber. Upon looking at reviews, many people said that they kept and wouldn't return the deposits claiming unreal damages. They also tried to do additional toll charges and other random shady things, that they communicated through text. Also, when they asked for the $3000 deposit, and we tried to escalate it since it was completely unheard of, they didn't say anything and changed the contract back to $500 without telling us (to delete the evidence). Terrible, terrible, terrible company. Pay more and go with a reputable service.

Airport shuttle from airport: Good communication, minimal wait. They called my insurance company to make sure I was covered. I already knew I was, so that was a time waster. Our car 4dr Mercedes was clean however, it was dented in 3-4 places and had a broken headlight cover. Interior smelled like smoke. The car worked and did its job getting around. Passenger window would stick or not work going up it had to be rolled up from the driver side. When I got the car, I told them when I return I will be here around 6:30pm. We can get a shuttle back to the airport correct? I was told yes. Upon returning the car at 6:30pm we were told they were closed (closed but people were still there) and they wouldn’t drive us to the airport. He said his coworker explained they were closed at 6pm and don’t do shuttles after 6pm. Kayak and the rental company promises airport shuttles. We were not given instructions on how to drop the car off if there had been no one there. We were also told our 6:30pm arrival wouldn’t be a problem for a shuttle. The employee took us to the airport in his personal car which was spotless and kind of him. This has soured my experience with both Kayak and the AZ rental company

If you do not arrive within 1-2 hours of your reservation time, they give your car away and don't have backups for you! EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. It was smaller than what we rented, but at least it was a vehicle. I'm thankful to the employee who bent over backwards to find us a vehicle, but York's policy of re-renting everyone's cars if they are not there within 1-2 hours is CRAZY! Everyone else got screwed. It was an awful experience. Oh, it it took HOURS for all of that to get settled. 0/5 stars.

After waiting in line for over an hour to pick up my rental from York, I was told by the counter staff that I would my personal (full coverage) auto insurance was still not enough coverage to rent a vehicle. It was proposed that I would either need to contact my insurance company to pay an additional ~$150 to tack on a rental car for the month OR pay York a $500 non-refundable security deposit, I should have listened to the line of other disgruntled customers in front of me, I ended up leaving with no rental, having to take a $40 Uber to my destination, and be carless for the week I was in town, I will NEVER use York again.

None of the people I did speak with could tell me when a shuttle would arrive to transport my family and I to the rental company. After an hour I gave up and got a rental from another company. I spoke with 2 other people in line for another company who claimed the same thing happened. 0/10 would not recommend.

Worst experience of my life. The price changed immediately. Very unorganized couldn’t get a ride from the airport to the rental place. I Uber to the rental place and no one was there called the number numerous times and then they sent a shovel to pick me up at the rental place. It was a total disaster. They gave me the car with a quarter tank of gas. Upon trying to return the rental car, I tried to call the number numerous times so I would bring the car to the correct location. No one answered the phone. I also messaged KAYAK. No one would return my call. So I brought it back to the original place no one was there. There was an eviction notice on the counter. I had to open the gate myself to put the car inside total disaster. No one has still returned any of my calls. No one was there to inspect the car no employees in sight whatsoever. Worst experience of my life. I will be disputing the charges on my credit card. They also initially tried to almost quadruple the price of what I was quoted on the Internet.

Forced to get insurance. Drop off address is incorrect. When contacting company to get directions, got no response Drove around for 45 minutes. The address that I was given from Kayak had the address of the place they clean the cars. The gentleman there who cleans the cars, but doesn’t speak English had me follow him to car rental place, if not for him I would still be driving around looking for the place. . Did not receive any contracts. Also waited 1 hour 30 minutes to be picked up from airport upon my arrival.

I canceled the car reservation. They wanted an extra $300 for insurance after he already paid for another insurance through a third-party which cost more than the car rental. They told me that was collision coverage only and that my State farm limits were not high enough to rent the car so they wanted an additional $300 for a three day rental. I just left without a car.

Scam!!!!! They show a low price and then won't let you use your own insurance when you go to pick the car up. They wanted me to buy their insurance and tried to charge me $270 just for their insurance for 2 days. Waste of my time . They had the wrong address listed. It takes you to empty lot. Had to find the real location on google. Once I finally found it at a sketchy building they try and scam you. I ended up going with a big company name at the airport and had no problem using my own insurance there. Zezgo is a huge SCAM !!!!!!!! Go with a real company don't waste your time with these Scamers.

The customer service was straight out of a nightmare. I had to stand in line for an hour and a half in this chaos of a room that had people forced to listen to representatives from India on a teleconference to rent a car. Madness? And after standing there for forever, I was told that my reservation was canceled... Because I showed up too late after waiting for the exact amount of time that they had canceled the reservation for. Truly the worst experience I've had with just about anything in decades. When you walk in, it felt like I was walking into a scam. People standing around not knowing what they're supposed to do, one of the lines didn't even have a customer service rep to serve as people they were supposed to just magically know where to go. In the end, I'm glad they canceled my reservation because who knows what troubles awaited me when I return the car
