Top tips for hiring a car at Eugene airport

  • The process for returning a car rental at Eugene Airport is just about as easy as renting the car here in the first place. As you approach the airport on Highway 99 N from either direction you will find ample signage guiding you to the rental car lot. Once you are there park your car in the appropriate location for your rental car company, lock the car, and then you can drop your keys and your contract in the dropbox, making for a contactless drop-off. If you do need assistance from staff, most of the rental car companies will have staff on-site from early in the morning until very late at night seven days per week.
  • One of the great things about traveling to a smaller airport such as this is that you will find all the companies for car rentals at Eugene Airport have a customer service counter right in the arrivals hall of the terminal building, next to the baggage claim area. If you have already reserved a car before arriving on your flight, you simply need to head to the correct customer service counter, present your license, and you should be on your way shortly with your keys and your contract.
  • One of the true benefits of car rental at Eugene Airport (EUG) is the fact that the number of options for transportation from the airport to the center of town are either somewhat limited or can be rather pricey. While there is a public bus service that operates from the airport to the center of town, most travelers with luggage will find this a cumbersome journey. You may also take a taxi from the airport, but this can be a rather pricey trip. When you rent a car, you get the flexibility of being able to take all of your passengers and their things quite easily, plus it’s more cost-effective, especially for longer trips.
  • Because this is a smaller airport in a somewhat small town, there are not going to be many times when Eugene Airport car rental will be difficult. That said, when events are happening at the University of Oregon that can create a high demand for rental cars, and as such you may see extended wait times when renting a car during these events.
  • Book your car hire at Eugene airport at least 1 day before your trip in order to get a below-average price

If you brought along a large group for an event or a vacation, a minivan or a passenger van is a good choice for your trip.

  • What type of amenities will I find in the car rental center at the airport?

Terrible! I reserved it online then wasn’t able to pick it up because I didn’t have a credit card. It had even taken my debit card while making the reservation. I went with a different rental company and wasn’t able to use my Budget reservation.

The only thing that he had was a Ram truck. I was ok with that thinking he wouldn’t give me a huge Ram truck. I am 83 and 5’1”. I went to the truck and pulled myself in. Good exercise I told myself. First stop would be some where I could buy a step stool and some rope to attach to the stool so I could pull it into the truck. Only one othèr problem I could not solve, I could not see over the steering wheel. I had to go back in and hopefully they could find me another car.
