The pick up required a trip in a parking elevator, through two doors to a parking garage that locked behind me and then a walk to find the office in a desolate underground garage on a Sunday morning. I found it very scary- and because it was unexpected - stressful.. and there was no way you reach the local office- they didn’t answer the phone. So I hated that and would not pick up from that location again. Otherwise everything was excellent..drop off in Montreal was perfect.. well marked directions- in a garage with an easy to find office.
Better instructions on where to find the Hertz office in Bay Street Toronto would be good. The office was very hard to find.

they could answer the phone and be more responsive. they said that they would provide a charger when i called central reservations (since they don't answer the phone at the location) and they said yes, when I got there it was not the right charger. Also the car smells of smoke, no one answers the phone when I call to sort it out. Very disappointed.

It was straight forward, but the instructions/ process was never explained to me, and I had to ask about every detail of the contract to get an overview of what im liable for. also the car only has 3rd party insurance and its an extra 30$ a day to get the car insured outside of that
Terrible! They didn’t accept the booking and so wouldn’t let me rent because I didn’t have a Canadian credit card. Indeed, im not Canadian so why would I have one? Do they not rent to tourists? Non-sense…
They charged me more saying that the rates are different from online and argued with me that they can not provide the car to me based on my online booking and they are not responsible for kayak booking.

Rude staff, also they charge extra 12$ for parking which doesn't make sense since you are not using their parking, just picking up the car and dropping it off. They could be more imaginative if they want to add hidden fees.
