Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests praised the hotel's unique concept, beautiful location, comfortable beds, and excellent amenities such as the tequila tour and fireflies at night. Many enjoyed the serene atmosphere away from the city and the original barrel room design. However, several reviews noted issues with cleanliness, particularly due to ducks and fallen mangoes, and some experienced poor service or inflexible staff. Some guests also mentioned construction quality concerns, rough access roads, and missing amenities like room service or included tours. Overall, the positive experiences with the setting, amenities, and comfort outweighed the negatives for most guests.
