Many found the property attractive, with comfortable rooms and enjoyable amenities like the spa and complimentary wine tasting. However, several reviews noted issues such as outdated facilities, noise, extra charges (especially for parking), and inconsistent service. Cleanliness and room size were generally satisfactory, but some guests experienced problems with HVAC, stained sheets, and worn-out areas. Overall, the positives centered on the pool, grounds, and location, while negatives included maintenance, value, and occasional service lapses.

The valet, front desk, restaurant staff, and bartenders were all friendly and helpful. The amenities like the complimentary wine tasting each evening, the s'more's, fire pits, pool, and games in lobby were all such wonderful activities for a family. The room was excellent, property is beautiful, and the location close to downtown Sonoma (with included shuttle service) is perfect. I definitely plan...

Pros (+) The hotel continues to be lovely.
Cons (-) The heater was slightly noisy.

Jeff, Dec 2019
Pros (+) Overall the stay was fine. The holiday decorations were a nice touch.
Cons (-) Check-in was delayed a couple hours even after confirming early checking several days in advance. Generally speaking service was fine, we did have some issues with the approach/attitude of a small handful of folks. On balance it was a fine stay, but fell short of previous experiences we have had at other Fairmont locations.
4.5
Mediocre
Anonymous, May 2017
Pros (+) Staff were pleasant and welcoming
Cons (-) Accommodations need improvements! Very tired and creepy and we were moved twice because of room's condition. First was dark and depressing wing, next was not much better and third was best there was and only difference was location on property. It really desperately needs updating to be worthy of the grounds and staff!
