Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praise the hotel's central location, making it convenient for exploring the area and accessing nearby attractions. However, many reviews highlight significant cleanliness issues, uncomfortable beds, and maintenance problems in the rooms and bathrooms. While some guests found the breakfast satisfactory, others considered it mediocre. Parking is frequently mentioned as problematic due to tight spaces and additional fees. Overall, the location is the standout positive, but improvements are needed in cleanliness, comfort, and amenities.

Pros (+) Location was in great proximity to downtown and the boardwalk.
Cons (-) Mattresses are very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a board. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. When my wife rinsed her hair, she said the rest of her body wasn’t getting wet.

Pros (+) A few blocks from Downtown Santa Cruz and all the restaurants I wanted. Even an easy 20 min walk to the boardwalk and wharf. I didn't want a beach front hotel as I wanted to also spend some time in downtown. This was a near perfect location for me. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons (-) It was clean, but a little worn.

Cons (-) Room was slightly musty, but once we turned on AC on, it was comfortable

Cons (-) The fact the room I booked wasn't available but they gave me a free upgrade :)

Pros (+) The sana was my favorite part. The room was clean. The young lady who checked us in was very sweet.
Cons (-) When we arrived they informed us that all the fireplaces in the rooms don't work since they aren't up to code. That was a little upsetting. Then I took the elevator up to my room and noticed the inspection permit was expired. They need to work on spending money where they need it instead of making a massive pot of eggs and 500 strips of bacon every morning
