The Royal Sonesta New Orleans

The Royal Sonesta New Orleans sits right on Bourbon Street, which has been an important lifeline of the area since the 18th century and oozes with history and (allegedly) ghosts of the past. The historic ambiance of the quarter allows you to imagine how life may have been a few centuries back and the themed hotel rooms create a special atmosphere to support that feeling.

The Royal Sonesta New Orleans boasts its own parking garage which is wedged between 700 Conti and Bienville Streets. Valet parking is the only option you have and costs approximately $43 per night for standard-sized vehicles. If you opt to park your car at the safe hotel parking lot, bear in mind that the valet services may take up to 20m to park or fetch your car upon request.

The Jazz Playhouse is the hotel’s proud entertainment establishment which gives you jazz music of the finest, combined with New Orleans inspired cocktails. The extensive and ever-changing event schedule of the club features jazz professionals who sway you into the right mood for your stay. Burlesque evenings reinstate the lascivious yet tasteful dance and music culture, which are always good for a show.

An interactive culinary event takes place daily at the Desire Oyster Bar, where oyster enthusiasts get to enjoy freshly prepared delicacies. The restaurant features a "raw bar", which means all fish and seafood is uncooked before you can watch the excellent chefs prepare it from scratch for you to enjoy. The contemporary bar lures in with modern black and white interior for a chic ambiance while Chefs Jeff Mattia and Quinlin Williams ensure the palate experience is topnotch.

The hotel seeks to accommodate your wishes as often as possible. Based on their room availability, an early check-in or late check-out are therefore generally possible and should be arranged with the hotel concierge beforehand.

Love is literally in the air with the Love Is In The Air Package that the Royal Sonesta New Orleans offers for couples. A fantastic accommodation is only part of the deal, and the party only really gets started with VIP reservation for The Jazz Playhouse and a welcome bottle of champagne to set off your time together. With daily gourmet breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres, your culinary needs are also met. If you are honeymooners who have come to enjoy the romantic mood of the city, the honeymoon suite will certainly be to your taste.

To get the full French Quarter feeling, the Bourbon Balcony Rooms promise to be a special treat. French doors swing open onto your own balcony that overlooks the signature street the hotel lies on.
