Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's prime location near attractions, shops, and the ocean, with many highlighting the beautiful views from their rooms and balconies. The breakfast, often delivered to the room, was a standout feature for many, though a few found it lacking. Friendly and helpful staff were frequently mentioned, contributing positively to the overall experience. Some guests noted issues with cleanliness, room size, and outdated decor, but these were generally outweighed by the positives. A few negative experiences related to value for price and specific amenities were reported, but the majority of reviews reflected satisfaction, especially with the location, service, and breakfast.

This hotel was advertised as having a view. I assumed a view of the bay. The view was of a parking garage and noisy road! Very deceptive! Management refused to put us in a different room because we used Kayak.

Pros (+) Most of the rooms in the hotel have a view looking toward the beach and boat harbor (like ours). We enjoyed listening to the waves crash on the beach at night, mixed in with the distant barking of the sea lions/seals and sounds of the sea gulls. Breakfast was continental (fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice) served directly to the room. Room looked recently renovated and was in great condition.
Cons (-) Parking is an extra charge, and the spots are small (pretty standard for California). It was absolutely fine for us (small 5 passenger car), but if you have a standard car you should be fine, but if you have a truck it will be difficult to park. Hotel is wood frame construction, and you could occasionally hear people walking in the room above us.
