Overview

In the centre of Lutherstadt Wittenberg, the Best Western soibelmanns Lutherstadt Wittenberg, stands next to the Lutherhaus Museum and the historic Leucorea University, with comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi and an old-world setting, a short walk from the town's famous reformation landmarks. The Lutherhaus, the university and the old town's squares lie right outside, with the Castle Church and Market Square a short stroll away. Berlin, Leipzig and Dessau are within easy reach by direct train. Wittenberg is where Martin Luther sparked the Reformation, nailing his ninety-five theses to the door of the Castle Church in 1517 and changing the course of European history. The Lutherhaus, the town church where he preached and the Old Market Square form a run of UNESCO-listed sites, while a colourful Hundertwasser-designed school adds a modern flourish. Nearby the English-style garden kingdom of Worlitz, itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies a short drive away.
