Very clean place, helpful staff. Daily cleaning service was a pleasant surprise. Breakfasts were very crowded on the weekend. Need a few more tables? The east side of the hotel is along a busy street. Weekday traffic started up before 6 AM. Impossible to sleep through, even with AC fan on high. Ask for a west side room.

Room was nice & clean except it has zero sound insulation and sits on a busy road. Sounds like vehicles are coming right in to your room all night long. Who knew Holland had more muffler-less vehicles than northern Michigan? They didn't bother to plow a recent snowfall and the parking lot was a lumpy, icy mess. Breakfast selection was poor. Pros (+) Plenty of channels to pick from on tv and the water gets really hot in the shower. For getting a lower priced hotel, there were no bed bugs, that’s always a plus!
Cons (-) They can’t improve anything because of how old the hotel is and where it’s located. I don’t even think remodeling would help. My husband did say when he walked in the hotel was a weird smell, a different smell on the elevator and a third smell in the room. I smell something when I walked in the hotel, but nothing after because I have bad allergies.

Pros (+) Bed was comfy
Cons (-) Price of room that we paid for on hotels.com was $33 more than the price that we could of walked up & paid that night. We found out that night when we were logging into their WiFi and they advertised room rates.

Pros (+) Close proximity to downtown and not far from where I had to be for work.
Cons (-) Paint was wearing off window frame, huge horrible patch job on ceiling ( maybe previous water leak), patch didn't match ceiling texture. Shower grout was nasty and wal in bathroom was falling apart and in need of major repair. Hotel needs major renevation.

Cons (-) I didn't care for being for more money after the room had been paid for on line. The was being accused for being a thief before I stayed there. The food being served at breakfast was out dated and stale.
