We specifically booked and paid extra for an oceanfront room with a balcony because it's something I look forward to every year since I don't live near the ocean. When we checked in, they told us the beds would be different but never mentioned they had completely changed our room to one without an ocean view. Pros (+) The location was great.
Cons (-) The room smelled like a locker room. The air conditioner couldn’t keep the room cool. There were extra charges, like a “resort fee” that was ridiculous because this place was no resort (think price gouging)! The staff were impersonal and unhelpful.

Pros (+) Across from the beach & Fireworks. Beach chair signup for use was a great feature in the hotel to use at the beach.
Cons (-) As there advertisement no water bottles were given. I requested a light bulb in the hallway to enter room replaced. The bulb was never replaced while I was there.

Pros (+) We loved the location, we always wanted to stay here, we finally got too!
Cons (-) We know it was that time of the year, but there were little may flies in the room from the sliding door not being closed all the way. The worse part was, we found a couple ants in the bed, one came out of the pillow case, and it was a momma ant. Not good. My wife and I had to switch rooms and they did accommodate us. But still we were weary.
