I reserved a premium car and was given a Kia Soul as that was all they had left. In addition, the car’s alignment was way off and it kept pulling to the right. I was very disappointed and uncomfortable on my drive.

We stood in line for an hour. People were cutting in line but no one stopped them. When I finally got to the counter they did not have the car we reserved and infact had no SUVs or cats AT ALL. I had to take a truck or nothing. I stood at the counter for 20 more minutes for them to figure it out. Terrible experience and I will never do that again. TURO all the way.

The car was dirty when picked up. They had to give it a quick vacuum before they gave me the keys, but when I got in there were still crumbs all over the front of the vehicle, grass in the trunk and garbage in the door pockets. Plus there was only 1/4 tank of fuel. Dropoff at the airport was a bit confusing, and although still open, the Hertz booth was unoccupied to assist.

Good overall. Vehicle wasn’t cleaned well when we got it and it appeared to have papers from two previous renters in it but other than that i was happy. Picking up and dropping off were quick simple processes and they allowed other drivers in the family to drive as well. I plan to use them again.

Everything was great from start to finish on our one-way rental from the Central Valley to Palm Springs. Staff at our pickup and our dropoff locations were friendly and easy to interact with. The car itself (Toyota Corolla Cross) was great, especially when we encountered some light snow on the drive over the mountains.

The staff Tyrese and Cameron were wonderful, very courteous and took time to listen to my concerns and got us in a car that was suitable for our needs. Initially when we arrived and although we booked the reservation 4 months in advance, the car we reserved was not there. we had to wait for them to clean a car for us. Which was too small for 4 people, but Tyrese worked with us and got us into a suitable car. When we dropped off the car Cameron was very attentive and waited while we doubled checked to see that we did not leave anything in the car. Both Tyrese and Cameron were helpful and asked if there was anything else they could help us with or if we had any problems to let them know and they would assist. Which is why I gave the higher review, eventhough we were disappointed that we reserved a car 4 months in advanced and the car was not there or ready when we arrived at the pick up time. If you pre-reserve a car the location should guarantee they have the cars there when you arrive, vs making you wait for them to locate something for you. What is the purpose of pre-reserving :(

I did not receive this rental and was still charged for the insurance. Bad experience overall. I called the day before asked if I could use my debit card and to clarify insurance. Was told yes. I could use my navy federal card for this. Arrived- could not use it. Wasted my whole morning and had to take my personal vehicle. Then had to perform multiple services to my car for the trip and had to replace two perfectly good tires when I returned because of road conditions. Cost me and I STILL have not received a refund for insurance I never got. Scam.

The people working for Alamo were super nice. Checking in was a little long since there was only one person running the counter. But it was late at night so that’s to be expected. Actually getting the car and returning the car was fast and easy. Would definitely rent from them again!

The staff was friendly, professional. Check in was easy. Convenience drop box for after hours return. Didn’t like that they gave a parking spot number and you have to go find the rental car on your own after you sign all the paperwork. What is the car is dirty? Or unacceptable? What if you have questions about scratches or cosmetic damages that you notice at the time of pick up? There’s no one to talk to about it. There are no signs to get out of the parking lot either. You just drive around until you find an exit!

From pick up to drop off, the customer service was great. Very friendly and personable. The car was also great. It ran smooth, no problems, great on gas. However, the inside wasn't horrible but could have used a little cleaning. Other than that, my experience was a 9.5 out of 10.

When we arrived, they had our reservation but no car! The person at the counter was of no help and said that he could neither give us another car nor cancel the reservation. I was told that perhaps they would have a car in 40-50 minutes. He finally called me 2 hours later. In the meantime, I called Kayak, cancelled the reservation, and walked two counters down where Enterprise rented a car for LESS than what the original reservation would have been at Thrift. Thrifty has lost a customer for life. How do you reserve a car and then not have a car? Unbelievable!

When I landed the rental counter was already closed, and their neighboring counter, Hertz, who owns them, would not help. There was a sign just to come back in the morning. I took an Uber to my hotel, then came back in the morning to pick up the car. However, the counter agent was incredibly rude and said that everyone will have to wait since no cars were available. I called the national customer service number, and after waiting on hold to talk with someone, I was told that only the local counter agent could help me, and that there was nothing the representative on the phone could do. After waiting for over an hour, she realized she could borrow a car from Hertz, which I then received. I would avoid Dollar and choose a different company in the future.

Very disappointed with the car rental I have made reservations twice and they never have the car I reserved there is always a poor excuse as to why

My flight was delayed and by the time I got to the airport the rental office was closed. Will not use Dollar in the future

Made advance reservation weeks ahead of time and pre paid. Arrived at the airport and I was informed that dollar and hertz did not hold any cars for me even though I had made the reservation confirmed it 24 hours ahead as requested. I am now having to waste my time to try to get reimbursement for the poor service and terrible business practices. I will never rent from dollar ever again.

Paid in advance to secure car rental and when I got there to pick car up dollar had no car rentals available. Worst experience ever!!! I missed my daughter’s birthday party and I was delivering the food and cake.

When I pay money to reserve a vehicle and I get to dollar to check in and was told there is no more 7 passenger vehicle available and there's three people ahead of me also waiting on a 7 passenger vehicle. I think it's poor on Dollar and the third parties Dollar works with. I was not refunded my money for the service I could not use.
