Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's central location, making it convenient for sightseeing and access to attractions like the Inner Harbor. Many also appreciated the spacious and comfortable rooms. However, noise from the street and poor soundproofing were major concerns for a significant number of guests, often impacting sleep quality. Opinions on cleanliness and service were mixed, with some guests finding staff helpful and rooms clean, while others reported issues with staff attitude, housekeeping, and maintenance. Overall, the location and room size stood out as positives, but noise and inconsistent service detracted from the experience.

JONATHAN, Jun 2021
Pros (+) The bathroom was modern and beautiful
Cons (-) The overall management of the hotel could be way better. First, The hotel didn’t receive our initial reservation through booking.com. Next, the room we were taken to was the wrong room and The entire floor smells like marijuana. When we were finally assigned a room, the sheets were dirty, the remote was broken, and the room was missing furniture. We were finally put into a decent room. What a terr...

Pros (+) Proximity to restaurants was decent and valet service was good. $29 for in and out parking privileges in their garage was a great deal compared to others.
Cons (-) Overall, it was disappointing to stay at this hotel. When showering, you would have to run the water for at least 10-15 minutes in order for it to become warm, otherwise you'd be stuck with cold water. While we stayed for 4 nights, we were given only 2 towels and had to request more via room service, but housekeeping never showed up. Due to COVID-19 protocols, they stated that rooms would not be c...

Pros (+) good location, only a couple blocks from the inner harbor and the power plant live, room was comfortable, lobby was quaint, staff helpful
Cons (-) could have used a bell hop service. if they had one, must have been busy. only saw one cart for luggage. lucky it was only me and my adult son, light on bags. :)

Pros (+) Stayed in a huge king bed room. Lots of empty space that could have been filled with a couch and coffee table with the TV in front of it. But they chose to place the TV to the right side of the bed making it awkward to watch. With this tiny one person mini couch directly under the TV. ..What the point of that? The front desk staff need a little more training. And a button or something indicating t...

Pros (+) I couldn't have asked for more from the Red Lion. Gorgeous rooms, wood floors (a HUGE plus for me because of my allergies), a shockingly short walk to the Charm City Circulator's Purple line, wonderful and warm staff who go beyond the call of duty, and all for a very low last minute price!! I am also very picky about hotel beds as I have a bad back but this bed was everything I wanted. Not to ment...
Cons (-) Honestly, my only qualm was that I only booked a room for one night. Had I known how wonderful my accommodations would be, I may have extended my trip! Oh, and a full body mirror would be nice, but its absence was in no way a deal breaker.

Pros (+) Great price for the location and on a weekend too!!
Cons (-) Room was facing street which was very noisy for 6am- 9am on a Saturday, trash pickup, street cleaning and another loud construction truck nearby but otherwise no complaints on behalf of the hotel staff or facilities!
