Getting from Santa Ana J. Wayne/Orange County Airport to Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel-On Disneyland Resort Property could not be easier thanks to the Disneyland Resort Express. Departing regularly from the Ground Transportation Center at the airport, the shuttle bus provides a direct service to the resort for a fee – no reservations are required, and you can pay on board. Other options include public transportation – a combination of public bus routes 76 and 43 will drop you just 2m away from the resort – or shared shuttles, rideshare services and private taxi transfers. Expect to pay around $45 for a taxi journey taking 20m.

Of course – get the celebrations off to a good start by organizing an in-room welcome surprise. Numerous packages are available, including balloons, candy, soft toys, games and other thoughtful amenities to delight your kids. The hotel can also help arrange themed gifts, flowers and much more, which can be delivered to or set up in your room at a time of your choosing.

While it is possible to check in early at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel-On Disneyland Resort Property, rooms are only available from the designated afternoon check-in time. Guests are welcome to arrive at any time and store their baggage while making use of the Disneyland Resort and hotel facilities, returning to access their accommodation later on in the day. The same applies for checkout day: guests must vacate their room, but can enjoy the Park for one final day before departing.

The hotel can help book places on one of the many in-park tours, but these are not exclusive to guests staying at the hotel. For a self-guided adventure, you can pick up a trivia sheet from the Guest Services desk, which sets several challenges as you explore the park under your own steam. Small prizes are available for those who manage to complete the quiz.

Guests wanting to stay active on vacation can do so with a range of fitness classes on offer at the hotel. These include the likes of "Rise and Stretch in the Park" or a "Grand Morning Stretch" to help you limber up for a day of exploration ahead, while mat-based pilates will see you stretching those tired limbs as well as building up core strength. For those after something a bit more fast-paced, the daily "Get Up & Go Power Walk" may be of interest – suitable for guests aged 14+ who can keep up a 15-minute mile pace, this 6:00 am power walk will take you on a 2-mile loop of the Park before it even opens.(Prices checked 05/13/19).
